Sealed in a single, plastic cylinder to prevent leakage, the explosive dopant contains dichloromethane (negative ion) dopant, which gradually depletes within the instrument’s detector over a 12 month period as intended. If it is not used for two months or more, DSA Detection recommends the dopant be refrigerated to preserve its intended life span; a shorter storage period at room temperature is acceptable. This is a recommendation, not a requirement.
